The Jones St Community shed is a shared space open to all community groups and organisations who wish to take advantage of shared resources and storage in what will be one of the biggest Community Sheds in the State.
Jones St Shed aims to expand on the ethos and vison of the the Men's Shed movement working alongside it to expand it's philosophy focusing on the mental health and well being of the whole community.
Diversity is about all of us, and about us having to figure out how to walk through this world together, shared spaces encourage shared stories enriching and strengthening communities and individuals alike.
The Community Shed’s purpose is to promote health, wellness and social cohesion amongst all of our communities and to encourage a culturally diverse and enriched environment as a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all backgrounds to gather, socialise and participate in shared interests.
The Jones Street Community Shed is seeking expressions of interest from not-for-profit community groups and associations accross the City of Stirling to share space and resourses in the Community Shed. Jones St Community Shed will be home to a Smörgåsbord of varying interests from woodworking to pottery to robotics, electronics, 3D printing, arts and crafts, in fact anything you can think of but importantly catering for ALL ages, ALL backgrounds and ALL abilities.
